I haven’t felt like writing lately.
Actually, I felt like it last week and started drafting a long post about the shaman’s house in the jungle, but got distracted hanging out with some new amigos. (I will get it done and share sooner than later.) Then the last couple of days I haven’t felt 100%. It’s not even that I have pain – just sort of an underlying feeling of nausea and exhaustion.
Spent all of yesterday in my small, fluorescent-lit, television-less room with a book on Spanish verbs and a collection of podcasts (thank God for Radiolab). Today I left to go get soup. Other than that, Casa Hospedaje La Pascana has been my universe.
I’m putting up this post for me (to get back in the swing), and for anyone interested in the most mundane goings on of my trip. Although I know life isn’t always a spectacular adventure, hopefully times this anticlimactic, lackluster and uninspired/ing will be few and far between.
Still happy I’m here and signing off with love…
